Below you will find a selection of the most commonly asked questions by our customers and a few we threw in for good measure. If you have any questions that you don't see answered here please do get in touch, we're always happy to help.

What are your charges?

Our basic on-site charge for residential customers is £35 per hour with a minimum charging period of 1 hour. Alternatively, you can take advantage of our Collect and Return service which is charged at a fixed price of £55 for desktop computers (parts not included, conditions apply).

The collect and return service can still be booked for laptop computers but the price of £55 cannot be guaranteed until an assessment has been carried out. Once a price has been quoted you will have the option of authorising the repair or having the laptop returned unrepaired. If you choose not to proceed with a repair a charge of £25 for evaluation will be payable.

For business customers the basic on-site charge is £35 for the first half hour and £35 per hour thereafter. The fixed price collect and return service is also available to business customers.

The above prices assume a maximum distance of 10 miles from the engineers home base. Additional charges may apply where travelling distance exceeds 10 miles. All pricing will be discussed and agreed with the customer prior to a visit being booked.

Will VAT be added to the final bill?

No. As a large portion of our customers are residential and our annual revenue is less than the current limits for compulsory VAT registration, we have decided not to register for VAT in order to keep our prices as low as possible.

Will I be charged if you are unable to repair my computer?

If we our unable to repair your computer you will not be charged a single penny. However, if we advise you of a solution/repair and you decide not to take that advice charges will still apply.

Also, if you decide not to proceed with a repair due to the cost of replacement parts or software, or should we advise you that a repair is inadvisable due to the cost involved, charges will still apply.

Do you charge for traveling time ?

We do not charge a call out charge or travelling time charge within a 10 mile area of our main office. However, a nominal charge may be applied for calls outside of this area.

What payment methods do you accept?

In order to keep our prices as low as possible we only currently accept cash and cheque payments. However, we are considering accepting payments by credit/debit cards via a web based system such as PayPal although a small additional charge may be necessary to cover costs.

Are your engineers qualified ?

All of our engineers hold a variety of industry certifications including Comptia A+, Comptia Network+, Microsoft MCP and Microsoft MCSA. We are also constantly looking to further develop our skills and acquire additional qualifications and industry certifications.

Is your work guaranteed?

Yes, all work carried out by our engineers is fully guaranteed.

If you need to replace parts will they be new?

The majority of parts we use are brand new and come with a full 12 month warranty. In some circumstances we may recommend using refurbished 2nd user parts and these will be supplied with a 3 month warranty.

The decision to use 2nd user refurbished parts where possible will always be made by the customer. We will never use 2nd user parts without your consent.

If parts are required will I be charged for fitting?

As part of a repair job any parts supplied by us will be fitted within the agreed labour charge. If you wish to supply your own replacment parts additional charges may apply especially if a repeat visit is necessary while we wait for you to aquire the necessary components.

I have a question that I don't see answered here, who should I contact for further advise?

We have a 0845 number which is linked to a 24 hour answering service, if your question is non-urgent we recommend calling this number as calls are charged at local rates. Alternatively you can contact our emergency mobile number on 07925 115 813.
